Nature Wonders Camp (Ages: 5-12) - Savoy Recreation Center
This popular camp fills up fast! A great camp for those who love the outdoors! Campers will learn about nature, weather, plants, and more! Our multi-talented staff will teach your camper about the life-long skill of fishing during this camp as we travel over to Colbert Park to try our luck catching a lunker! Outside Hitter Camp - Beck Center
We will be focusing a lot on the passing aspects of the game during the first part of the session along with working on the mechanics of the arm swing. The second part of the session we will be progressing into more game like situations that involve both the Outside Hitter and Right Side Hitter. This camp is for all levels of players as we will progress each drill according to the success of the player. If you are just starting out we will work with you to get you to understand the game from the Outside Hitter position and work through the early fundamentals that you will need to become successful. If you have played the position for a while you will progress on a track to teach you the different levels of the game and how we do things here at Transylvania Volleyball. Full Day Camp FRI FEB 26 - University City Arts League
UCALs Full Day Camps are similar to our Summer Camp days: three art classes in mixed-grade groups ( K-3 & 4-8) in a variety of media and genres, outdoor recess ( weather permitting) and indoor free play, with lunch and snack provided. Drop-off starts at 8 am, with the first art class at 9am. Options include a day until 3 pm or 6pm. Important Notice from UCAL: At the end of your registration process through the Active system, you will be offered a 30-day free trial of something called the Active Advantage program. You do NOT need to register with Active Advantage to receive member discounts for UCAL programs ,and we do not recommend signing up for it. WEEK 5: Ages 9-15: WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY - SciTech Kids
Students explore electronics, coding, design and fashion as they create wearable technology. Theyll design clothing, interactive toys, and accessories that incorporate advanced electronic technologies. Design a shirt that integrates programming and sensors to monitor your heart rate, a wristband that tracks how many steps taken or calories burned, or light up shoes. Once you understand the basics of circuit design the possibilities are endless. Take home cutting edge gadgets that bring together craft, electronics, and programming.
