LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Advanced Computer Camp - Pi Edition - Transylvania University
Experienced computer students are given the opportunity to work on advanced projects. This camps theme will involve the Raspberry Pi computers as a low-cost experimenters platform. Morning and afternoon programming sessions will begin with a short lecture, then you will be allowed to address several challenges in response to the topic covered in the lecture. Learn at your own pace, but instructors will be available to help if you have questions or problems. Evening sessions are reserved for independent work and network gaming. During camp, participants will live in a Transylvania residence hall and eat three meals a day in the dining hall, beginning with breakfast on Monday. Campers can also use Transys library, computer laboratory, and recreational facilities. Internet service will not be available in the dorm rooms. Campers must have attended a previous Transylvania computer camp or taken some programming classes at your high school. If you do not have this background, please consider registering for our Introduction to Computer Programming Camp, scheduled for June 12-17. Enrollment is limited to 35 campers. The application deadline is May 1 and confirmations will be sent by May 15. If you are not selected for camp, your camp fee will be refunded. 859-233-8300

Photography kids - teen day camp. age 7 and up May 7 2016.The cost is $60.00 they get a cute bag and tee shirt, and lunch that day. They need a camera any kind it dont matter just as long as it takes photos. they get a small photo session that day also. We will be hiking and taking photos enjoying the day. Film Premiere Stages for Youth Summer Film Camp - Cincinnati, OH
***PLEASE NOTE VENUE CHANGE*** Join Stages For Youth in celebrating the accomplishments of 30 young filmmakers who attended the 2016 Stages For Youth summer film bootcamp. Participants, ages 12 to 19, from SCPA, Springer, Clark, Walnut, Bethany House, Seven Hills, Mercy, Purcell, Waldorf, Aiken, Withrow, as well as home educated, YWCA Rosie’s Girls and The Squash Academy came to Stages For Youth and were challenged...to make a short film…in only 2 weeks! Along the way they learned the film craft, they created, collaborated, debated, negotiated, and problem solved…and all came away with mission accomplished, a testament to their creativity, resolve, teamwork, and spirit. Movies will start around 8:30 PM in beautiful Union Hall. Total run time is about one hour and will be followed by awards. We have a hundred chairs and then some, so please bring your friends. This is a free, public, family event and all are welcome!

Costa Rican Jungle Animals Week 1 - Adat Ari El Day School
Explore the Majesty of Costa Ricas Jungle Animals & Learn Spanish Campers explore the dynamic jungle of Costa Rica. The colorful and intriguing animals are extraordinary and will magically ‘transport campers to the ‘jungle where it is super fun to speak Spanish. During this week campers get to build a large scale ‘time travel machine out of recyclable materials. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook, play sports, and discover the joys of learning Spanish through various activities. Theme vocabulary includes colors, verbs, nouns, adjectives all about these animals and their unique features. CELEBRATION DAY: WEDNESDAY (always optional)- Go Wild Day Come to camp dressed in your favorite animal prints or animal tees. During camp choice time choose your favorite wild animal look for our special face paint activity! Notes: There may be options for arranging late pick up the same day. Algebra Bridge Class - TRINITY ACADEMY
This class is for the student who has completed Algebra I and wants to reinforce those skills before entering Geometry or Algebra II. There will be particular emphasis on the second semester Algebra I concepts that typically cause students difficulty. Items covered will include the following: solving and rearranging equations, slope, writing equations of lines, solving systems of equations, simplifying exponents, multiplying binomials (FOIL) reducing radical expressions, and factoring. Students are expected to take notes, work on in-class assignments, and should be prepared to complete some assignments at home.
