Summit Afternoon Academy Summit Band Spring 2016 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders, 3:00-4:00PM, $360 Fees include snack Band meets in the Lower School Music Room in the Arts & Technology Building Clarinets- Wednesdays (Trumpet players from Fall Band may join this class if unable to meet on Tuesdays) January 6, 13, 20, February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 2, 9, 16, 23, April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4 February 10, 8:15-9:15 All Band Practice March 9, 8:15-9:15 All Band Practice April 27, 8:15-9:15 All Band Practice Band instruction includes note spelling, rhythm training, instrumental skills, harmonizing, and aural development. Musical selections will be taken from the Essential Elements Book and sheet music. There will be a daily home practice requirement of approximately 15-25 minutes depending on age. This daily practice allows for optimal learning and progress. Teen Winter Art Camp: Positive Posters - Louisville, KY
With the New Year upon what better way to start it out than with a positive poster to hang in your home or community! Children can create their own quote for their poster or we will provide a variety for them to choose from. We will provide a variety of creative materials as well as a few inspiration pieces. Although we do teach technique we allow and encourage the voice of each individual child to shine through. In other words, no two paintings or sculptures will ever leave our studio looking the same. We value and honor the voice and creative spirt of each individual child and encourage them to find their own creative path. **Please remember to pack a healthy lunch and snack!
Summer Camp - Cloverdale, OR
All Pack Event. Enjoy the wonderful Oregon Coast while working on your rank advancement and our Summertime Pack Award. Exact timing is TBD, but the dates are reserved. I have reserved 30 scout and 10 adults slots. We have time to adjust, but the sooner we get this nailed down the better. I will have a sign up sheet for the next Pack/Den Meeting next Thursday for all those interested in going. There is a fee for this $243/Scout and $115/Adult. We do get a free adult admission for every 6 Scouts that go. At the next Committee Meeting we will discuss how we want to ration that out, either by need, or reduce everyone's cost equally, etc.

This opportunity is open to artists ages 15-18. For every 6 hours worked, students will receive a $60 voucher towards the tuition of any MacRostie art workshop to be used in the following year.
