Schools out, and its time to play! During the tennis portion of camp, kids with little or no tennis experience will play with the smaller rackets and softer balls of our "10 and Under Tennis" classes which will help them connect with the ball. They will really enjoy themselves while they learn the basic strokes and rules of tennis. Well also do some fun tennis drills and games that will teach moves and skills to use on the court. Older and more experienced players will be placed together to assure they are getting a good challenge with their friends and peers. When were not playing tennis, well take a hike on one of the great trails in Wheaton Regional Park, visit Brookside Nature Center and explore nature, and cool off at the South Germantown Splash Playground on Tuesdays. Itll be great fun, great exercise, and never a dull moment! Sunscreen and hats highly recommended, and a swimsuit for splashing Please bring a non-perishable lunch and water bottle each day! Did you know a camper is exposed to more of what the gospel is about in one week at camp than regular church attendance for a whole year. At summer camp 2015, there were 45 first time salvations, 108 re-dedications,87 Holy Spirit baptisms, 29 physical healings, 23 calls to full-time ministry and 72 commitments to discipleship! The impact of camp for campers is eternal! They meet with the God who created them and loves them. There will be 3 fundraisers to help cover the cost of camp. Kansas City Church of Christ Teen Camp Fundraiser - Olathe, KS
Inside the restaurant on the north side of Bass Pro, inside Uncle Bucks. Raising money for the teens to go to camp in June! Shopping for guest begins at 6:15pm!! Quarters down, Paddles up at 6:45pm!! Come on out and win items up to $75 for as little as 3 quarters from multiple area vendors. There will be two rounds of the auction and one round of the raffles. Spring 2016 Life on the Farm Camp - Connolly Ranch
The kids need something to do for spring break—and Connolly Ranch has a camp full of activities designed to keep them engaged in the outdoors. During our week, the children will take care of the farm animals including the new spring lambs and baby chicks, get creative with arts and crafts, learn about our honeybees and other pollinators, cook with local ingredients, build natural shelters, learn about seed starting in the greenhouse, get their hands dirty in the garden and of course hike and explore the nature trails in Westwood Hills park. Musical Improv - Pop Songs Level 2 - Eric Schackne - iO West
Youre making up songs, and they sound pretty great. Everybody thinks so. Yet, youre curious how to make future songs sound pretty greater. This workshop moves past the rigid structure that got your improv songwriting on its feet, and smoothes out the edges. Week one takes you back through song structure and function in finer detail, adding some new ways to build on simplicity. The second week works on two pairs of skills – beginnings/endings & leading/following. Week three delves into the wild world of fancy tricks and slick pop moves to prep your tool belt for heaps of song types. Rebels, Outsiders, and Visionaries - NCSSM Durham Campus
Description: In this course we will look at cultural pioneers, those who dared to push the boundaries of art, music, film and literature, and the profound effect they had on the status quo. We will explore a wide variety of artists, from William Blake (poet/artist) and Art Blakey (jazz drummer) to Chuck D (activist, emcee, author) and David Lynch (film maker). We will also harness alternate and augmented reality technology to create an interactive installation on NCSSMs campus. Goals: Participants will understand the role of the rebel and how the rebels outsider perspective creates cultural change. Participants will be also work collaboratively to plan and build both an augmented reality exhibit and an alternate reality game to teach participants about the history of rebellious artists and thinkers. 919-416-2635

SOFTBALL CAMP - Adams Park
Lace up your cleats and get ready to play ball! Campers will learn the basics of pitching, catching, fielding, throwing, hitting and base running. Well spend the day working on skills, drills and techniques and then apply the fundamentals during scrimmages. Supplies: Campers should bring their own bat and glove, and a packed lunch with a beverage and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
