Girls and boys will enjoy the projects which incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) and Tinkering (learning by doing). Graduates of Kindergarten - 5th grade are welcome! Camp will be divided into groups of 8 children with one teacher. Topics of the camp: ● Robotics ● Programming ● Tinkering ● STEAM ● Team Work ● Leadership ● Entrepreneurship Learning objectives: ● Basic concepts of programming : events, commands, sequences of commands ● Basic Concepts of mechanics: simple machines, gears, pulleys, levers ● Intermediate concepts of programming; Program flow model, simple sensors (wait for) behaviors, decision making structures ● Real world solutions and engineering practices like: building solutions to real world problems, problem solving strategies, team work, and leadership Join us for week 2 for Robotics II. Pathfinders will engage their adventurous spirits as they learn outdoor skills and exciting ways to thrive in nature. Campers will immerse themselves in the natural world as they discover shelter building, map-making, plant identification and animal tracking. Daily storytelling and hiking will be sure to keep everyone active and engaged. With their own survival kit in hand, every camper will be eager to share their new knowledge of and appreciation for the outdoors. All campers will learn from science experts, play learning games, make projects, meet new friends, cool off in Sand Creek and have supervised exploration time. Coach Rob Czlonka and Coach Chase Wooten Camps are designed to provide training for youth players with aims at developing the techniques needed to be successful in the game of soccer. Each session will include the Following: Dribbling, Controlling surfaces, 1v1 exercises, passing and receiving, and some small group games. Players will receive a NSU Soccer T-shirt. Campers need to bring with them (1) indoor and outdoor athletic shoes, (2) a full water bottle/Jug (3) shin guards with socks over them. 918-444-3997
