CSI II - Crime Scenes Talk - United Faith Christian Academy
Campers will become advanced forensic scientists for the week! Campers will analyze and gather evidence for a number of fictitious crime scenes, use luminal and UV light to detect the presence of blood, complete a blood splatter analysis, take crime scene photographs, complete a drug and poison analysis. Campers will also gather insects as from our rotting carcass (pork chop) as they discover how CSIs use their entomology skills to determine time of death. Programmable Speed Bots - Wow Science - Voorhees
Using iOS and Android devices, campers will program a robot to do many tricks, including pulling off ollies--a trick where a skateboarder or snowboarder can jump into the air without ramping off something else. This robot can pull off ollies, do a quick spin in place, speed boost while driving (called grabs), jump around like a hot potato, pull off wheelies, or rocket across the room and turn on a dime before zipping off in a new direction. All this as campers have fun mastering basic concepts of programming. Bring your cell phone if you have one. NOTE: THIS PROGRAM RUNS MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FOR A HALF DAY. Build and keep an air powered Hover Craft. You make it defy gravity. Once its up and moving, then using your creativity, control its direction. Get to build and take home your own car. The purpose is to build a super car powered by more than one source of energy. This can be one crazy looking vehicle. We provide you with many materials for that dynamic vehicle that you will build. Also get to build a Egg Drop Car. The purpose is to build a gravity vehicle that can cushion a raw egg as the car holding the egg is dropped from a high height.
