Intentional programming focuses on increasing youth’s social and developmental skills. Increased confidence and self-reflection happens when staff members push campers outside of their comfort zones. Flyin Fierce Ever attempted to fold that perfect airplane, only to realize it was a better wad of paper? Ever had that urge to fold up that quiz that you didnt do so well on and send it ripping across the room, only to realize youd probably end up sitting in detention for your fine flight! Well have no fear, join Club Scientific for Flyin Fierce where it will be expected that youll fold a phenomenal flying machine and if you cant, then well show you how. Toys, darts, stunts, gliders, even balsa wood flyers will be the focus. No worries, well provide the protective eye wear! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Construction Chaos Think youre a problem solver? Believe you have engineering qualities such as designing, building and testing? Well Club Scientific is coming to test your abilities in all three areas with Construction Chaos! Each week youll design and build various structures, and then test each structure for success or failure! Whether they work (or not) youll have an incredible building experience. Learn to identify, harvest and prepare wild edible foods. We will go out into the blufflands of southeastern Minnesota and forage for some of the first wild foods after the snow lifts. We will also cover safety and ethical concerns that accompany foraging wild foods. In addition to all this you will also learn to make and use primitive tools that aid us in foraging wild foods. 507-272-5320
