Renaissance offers an 8-week summer camp program, which typically begins in the middle of June, for children ages four and a half to eleven years old. The camp curriculum has been developed to encompass a wide variety of activities suited to each age groups maturity and interests Campers can participate from one to eight weeks as long as space is available. New this year is the Hartley Level 1 class. This replaces the 420 Level 1 program and offers a great one week learn to sail program for older students. Students will learn basic sailing lingo, how to rig and how to sail on this new slick boat. Designed as a recreational level boat the Hartley 12 is the perfect boat to get started in the fun sport of sailing. 860-535-9362

Girls Rock Camp is an intensive one-week day camp offered to girls ages 6-15 at The Garden Street Academy, M-F, 9-3 pm, where campers of all skill levels have the opportunity to learn guitar, bass, drums, vocals, or other instruments. Campers will also form a band, write an original song, and perform at the Final Showcase for friends, families, and fans! In addition to all this, campers will have the opportunity to meet other girls and female musicians and mentors, as well as participate in enrichment activities such as workshops on media literacy or screen-printing. Not for beginners! This camp is for campers who have been playing Minecraft. Minecraft™ has taken the world by storm with its block-building, digital game design that allows players to build, explore, create, collaborate, and even survive. With no set rules, you can build anything you can possibly imagine. During this 4-day adventure, campers will learn different modes of playing. They will use cool mods as they escape monsters, build amazing structures, create maps, mine the world under their feet, climb the tallest mountains, and utilize robotic turtles to manipulate the vast world around them. They will learn real coding techniques to program their turtles to accomplish tasks while working as a team with other campers to unleash their creativity! Campers take on the real-world jobs of programmer, game designer, artist, and architect. NO Minecraft account is needed for THIS CAMP as we have licenses ready for use. Just come and learn the basics, as well as advanced techniques and new strategies of this great game! However, to play at home, you will need a Minecraft account.
