Skills and Competition Day Camp II - Rice University Tudor Fieldhouse
This all day skills camp is the perfect combination of breaking down the skills of volleyball and competiting in a team environment. Campers will train each of the important skiills of volleyball each day, and will also work on team play. A tournament will conclude this camp which always proves to be a camper favorite! Your inspiration for the perfect pair of lounge pants will come alive with screen and block printing components in layers of rich colors and balanced designs that are custom to you. Learn the dynamic history of textile printing, the printing process, and basic sewing in this hands-on textile workshop that takes you from blank fabric to wearable fashion. Little Programmers Camp - Mountain View Community Center
Students will learn sequencing, estimation, and how to problem solve when they learn how to program Bee-Bot Robots! They will work in groups to design and build their own mazes and obstacle courses, and use collaboration skills to get out of their maze, avoid obstacles, count, and learn the alphabet. Tournament camp is designed for competitive players who play tournaments and want to play a lot of singles and doubles. Every camper will play matches during the day and will work on their footwork and movement on the court. Jr. Space Engineer - San Juan Del Rio Catholic School
Using LEGO® bricks, campers will design and build structures and space vehicles for living on far away planets. Campers will utilize a variety of LEGO® bricks including motors, gears, lights, and sensors. Space Engineer includes instruction on the Earth, Moon, stars, and planets as well as the scientific topics of force, friction, simple machines, and gravity. Campers will also join the crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS) to learn about propulsion, friction and more. Counselors will assign specific projects each day that include: a rotating satellite, space buggy, a stunning spaceship, terrestrial homes that can withstand alien atmospheres and a host of other exciting projects. Campers will work in teams to complete their missions. Our camps are 9am-4pm with pre and post camp options available as well!
