LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Theater Performance Guild - Artists Exchange
Ready, rehearse, and act! Join our new Theater Performance Guild to develop your performance skills and put on original productions with an ensemble of like-minded actors. Make new friends while learning the basics of acting, improvisation, playwrighting, and stagecraft, and much, much more! Create your own characters and write your own scenes – the sky is the limit to the worlds we will explore and plays we will produce. A goal of the guild is to build a group of young actors who want to further develop their skills, have fun onstage and offstage, and hone their craft together. All experience levels welcome and encouraged to join, from beginner to advanced. Performances will be ongoing and run on eight-week schedules (subject to change due to any calendar/holiday conflicts). Session ends with a performance on Saturday, March 5th at the Black Box Theatre open to all family and friends. (No materials required aside from your imagination.) *WANT MORE FUN? Class also offered on Thursdays from 4:30-6:00pm with a final performance on Thurs, 3/3. Sign up for both Thursdays and Saturdays for only $330.00 ($10 savings)! Youth Camp - Porter, TX
DISCOVERY CAMP began in 1989 as an age appropriate summer camp program for both children and teenagers. It has become the largest full-gospel camp in America reaching over 20,000 each summer. Cost: $130 (plus money for snacks or souvenirs) Contact: Pastor Tiffany 281.354.7200 Pastors Tommy and Rachel Burchfield have dedicated over twenty-five years to building the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Their home and ministry headquarters is Country Camp in Columbus, Texas where gathering churches, loving pastors and networking leaders have earned them international respect. Their children, Andrew, Peter, and Abby are also involved in ministry. Discovery Camp's resides on a a 1,088-acre Christian retreat center and ministry headquarters located in Columbus, Texas. The campus includes housing for 1100 campers, full recreational facilities and summer resident quarters for over 200 staff employees, interns, and ministry families. Three waterslides, go-carts, horses and age appropriate activities will remind your group just how much fun it is to be a Christian. With over 200 staff and interns, our wonderful DC team love the campers and are committed to a safe and fun summer.

Kid's Summer Yoga Camp - Canby, OR
Balance and Harmony is happy to announce our first summer yoga camp for children ages 3-5. This camp will introduce your child to basic yoga poses and breathing exercises through story, songs and games. Each class will also include a creative activity that reinforces our yoga practice. Children will bring a packed snack and we will enjoy time outside at Wait Park. Taught by Sherry Wolfson. Sherry holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certificate. She began teaching preschool and special education over 30 years ago and has taught yoga to preschoolers at Childswork Learning Center in Portalnd for the past 3 years. Classes will be held for 5 weeks (July 1st - 29th) on Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00. Fee-$150 for all 5 days. Prerequisite: Opti LTS Step 3, Step 2 per instructor recomendation Students will be challenged to perfect their sailing techniques, learn to use hiking straps and tiller extensions, and expand their knowledge of wind, weather and upwind sailing. Students will be introduced to basic racing techniques and will be encouraged to participate in local Green Fleet regattas, which are designed for new racers. All students will be under the supervision of our instructors and coaches in class and at specific local regattas. Be on the look out for your ECSA regatta booklet which has all the regatta information in it that will be handed out during the first week of programs. Typically your child will participate in 6-8 regattas over the 8 week summer. Regatta fees are not included and typically range from $25-$35 per event. 860-535-9362
