SC2016: Ferocious Whelk Week - Sundial
Ok, you arent thinking shells are ferocious are you? Youre thinking theyre beautiful and graceful? Well lightning whelks are beautiful and ferocious. Theyre also pretty fascinating! Lets snip open a lightning whelk egg case (youve probably seen one but didnt know what it was) and look at the hundreds of tiny whelks and the way they grow in a spiral. Lets do some spiralling art and dig down in the sand and pump water out the way whelks do. And lets look at how these creatures hunt! And for all you lefties out there, this is your shell! These whelks open to the left side while most of the other shells around here open to the right! (239) 472-8585

Explore painting, drawing, sculpture and found object construction in this mixed media class of imagination. Students will create stories, dioramas, miniature stage sets and scenes depicting real life places or imaginary characters to sculpt the wildest of things. Baseball Class - BASEBALL CAMP - Adams Park
Put me in coach...Im ready to play! This camp will focus on baseball fundamentals and techniques from hitting, fielding and throwing to pitching, base running and more. Campers will participate in daily drills, scrimmages, stations and contests to develop big league skills. Camp will be conducted rain or shine. Parents will be provided with information on how to handle rain days on the first day of camp. Supplies: Campers should bring their own bat and glove, and a packed lunch with a beverage and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend campers use sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30. Attire: Baseball attire (e.g., baseball pants, cap and cleats). LOCATION Adams Park Baseball Complex INSTRUCTOR Sports A Rama

Campers in grades 6 - 12 will have the opportunity to enjoy many of the traditional summer activities such as hiking, Bible Study and Small Groups, campfires with SMORES, and other camp games. Retreat begins at 7 p.m. on Friday and ends at 11 a.m. on Sunday. 859-494-9113
