Camp Indian Summer is four days and three nights of adult sleep-away camp for “big kids.” It will be the most memorable long weekend of your life. Our job, and we’re good at it, is to persuade you away from your tablet, cell and all things electronic. Leave your screens behind, soak in sun and fun and reconnect with like-minded people in real life. Enjoy all of the classics: dodgeball, kickball, waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, a ropes course and yoga. When the sun goes down, cookouts, campfires, s'mores, acoustic music and theme parties with live bands on a professional stage. See you at camp!
Kids Winter Art Camp: Mixed-Media Masks! - Bellingham, WA
In this winter break art class, we'll imagine that we are in a warm tropical place with palm trees, wild birds singing, and sandy beaches. To inspire our imagination, we’ll learn about the French post-Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin, the location of Tahiti, and a brief history of Tikis. Tiki masks actually have a long, rich history in Polynesian culture. The Tiki masks were originally hand-carved wooden masks that were used to symbolize deities, give protection, and increase luck. We'll create our own colorful and textured papers with paints with a variety of brushes, and different items to make texture, in mixed-media format, then use the painted papers to create our Tiki masks. Art Teacher: Rachel (LeLu) Simpson Dates: December 28th, 29th, & 30th at 3:00pm – 5:00pm Location: BAAY, 1059 N. Spend your summer vacation with us! Sam Michaels Day Camp offers 1 field trip per week, water day of Friday w/ inflatable water slide and weekly themed crafts and activities. T-shirt is included in camp price. Camp hours are 7:30am-5:30pm. Cost for camp is $125 per week (4th of July week is $100).Full payment is due at time of registration. Parent or guardian MUST complete a camp registration form as well a health form for each child they are registering. STATE LICENSING DISCLAIMER: Due to state law regulations we are required to limit the number of days a child is allowed to attend summer day camps, or any camp lasting more than 6 hours. Children may only attend these camps for 30 days during the summer (consecutive or non-consecutive).
