Camp Apollo - Rock Terrace School
Elementary school youth within the autism spectrum. Activities for campers include coloring and painting, musical games, playground fun, swimming twice a week and local field trips. Quiet time, low lighting and sensory activities will be used as a transition from ESY to camp. Depending on skill levels, campers will be divided into two groups during some activities. To be successful, must be able to follow one/two step directions, ability to manage their behavior and be able to make simple choices. Campers must exhibit ability for self care with limited assistance with changing or prompting using bathroom. Staff ratio: 1 staff/4 participants. Outside Hitter Camp - Beck Center
We will be focusing a lot on the passing aspects of the game during the first part of the session along with working on the mechanics of the arm swing. The second part of the session we will be progressing into more game like situations that involve both the Outside Hitter and Right Side Hitter. This camp is for all levels of players as we will progress each drill according to the success of the player. If you are just starting out we will work with you to get you to understand the game from the Outside Hitter position and work through the early fundamentals that you will need to become successful. If you have played the position for a while you will progress on a track to teach you the different levels of the game and how we do things here at Transylvania Volleyball. Week #6: August 1-5: Crystals, Caves & Dino-Might! In this week long camp, scientists will become geologists and paleontologists as we sift, sort and classify rocks, make rock models, compare the saturation rates and composition of different types of soil and make a yummy dirt dessert to take home. Well work with dirt-dwelling insects, learn about the rock cycle, make models of the earth and mix up a batch of quicksand. Scientists will work with geodes, discover how fossils were formed, take part in a mini excavation and more! Ages 5 - 10. 500$/week. Extended day is available until 6 pm for 10/hr. 7188328400.0
