This girls-only camp is a favorite camp for my 12 year old daughter. There are a variety of day and week long camps offered; each according to a girl’s age. Girls have lots of choices with this camp. Young Paleontologist 7/25 - Open Door Church
Have a digger or a rock hound in the house? Then Young Paleontologist may solve your problems. Dinosaurs may be extinct, but they are very much alive during this week of camp. Special emphasis will be placed on observation, inference, data collection and just plain fun as our young scientists learn about a variety of dinosaurs and their habitats. Rocks, minerals and fossils are studied and hands may get dirty in these hands-on activities. This is Geology 101! 919-847-7625

Entry-level robotics and programming. Campers learn robotics using LEGO® Education WeDo™. Our young creators build snapping alligators, race cars, talking birds, and spinning robots, attach sensors and motors, and then program their creations with the WeDo visual drag-and-drop programming software. Counselors guide and encourage exploration and trial and error field-testing. Instead of simply "snapping bricks together," campers are encouraged to think critically about how their robot design can be changed and to understand more complicated engineering techniques such as gear use, pulleys, and inclined planes. Campers will also complete a small LEGO® project that they will be able to take home. 805-570-1988

Not all beautiful ceramic work is thrown on a wheel! We will join slabs of clay into beautiful works of art using a variety of techniques and surface decorations. We will focus primarily on functional work during this session; well make a casserole, vase, plate, and more! 970-243-7337 x2
