AN INVITATION FROM THE CHAIR Teen Eastern Chinese Bible Conference is a place where high school students from all over New York and New Jersey gather for a weekend of learning about following Jesus, community, and fun. Our committee is led by AMAZING high school students and adult volunteers who have spent the past year planning and praying about the upcoming conference in May. We are super excited for all of you to join us for a weekend of learning about faith, make long-lasting friendships, and simply be able to get away from New York City and enjoy the fresh air in Upstate New York. Students in the area will get to have their first (hopefully) Oh My God moment while driving their own vehicle. The only driving education offered to teens is Driver’s Ed in high school (sitting behind a desk) and then 6 hours behind the wheel to get their permit. Sculpture in Clay with Gul Ruk Selim (Ages 12-17) - Young People
Students will work with clay and learn basic sculptural techniques, including modeling, adding and taking away material. Students will work from objects as models or from their imagination, creating both abstract and figurative sculptures. Learn how to construct light armature as well as techniques for constructing hollow cylinders and spheres and cuboids as the base of their forms. Students will also have the opportunity to sculpt a human head from a model! For this we would work with each other as models! Both new and experienced artists are welcome. 2035624927 x14
