Prerequisite: Taste of Optis The Second Taste is meant to build upon the foundation of sailing skills built while your student was in the Taste of Optis program. Take the next step in the Taste of process and add another week long program to reinforce parts of the boat, the sailing lingo, and overall comfort on the water. This class uses both the Opti Trainer and Optimist dinghy as students are guided to sail on their own by the end of the week. 860-535-9362

Skyhawks Beginning Golf Skyhawks Beginning Golf focuses on building the confidence of young athletes through proper technique and refining the essential skills of the game. Skyhawks has adopted the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system as its curriculum. SNAG is specifically designed for the entry-level player; SNAG simplifies instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. No need to bring your own clubs--all equipment is provided. The students will be having camp at a park, not on an actual golf course. All participants receive a t-shirt and a merit award. The participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 8:1. Participants should bring appropriate clothing, two snacks, a water bottle, running shoes, and sunscreen. Lets Put On a Show! is designed to help young, aspiring singers and actors learn new skills for the musical theater stage. During the program, you will spend time learning how to create a character through your singing and acting, develop your songs into a story, and dance with fresh choreography designed specifically for you! Led by Jennifer Foose (Director of Musicals and Vocal Music at Cedar Grove High School), you will perform the best age-appropriate repertoire and learn how to choose songs that best suit your unique voice and needs. Each day will be spent on individual and group work, and the week-long session will culminate with a showcase performance on the final day which will include some of the scenes and songs learned throughout the program.
