What is Youth Councils? Youth Councils is a three day retreat specifically for Jr. High, High School and college age youth to be challenged and strengthened in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Who can attend Youth Councils? We have two tracks to set up so that we can tailor everything to the specific needs of your youth. To attend the Jr. High Track, youth must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade by April 10, 2015. In order to be in the High School Track, youth need to be in 9th grade-age 25 by that same date. When is Youth Councils 2015? Youth Councils 2015 is being held from April 10-12, 2015 at Wonderland Camp & Conference Center. What is the theme for Youth Councils 2015? The theme is RISE ABOVE, and it’s based on Colossians 3:1 (NASB): “Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." As we walk through this life, it can be really easy to forget that our identity is hidden in Christ and not in the things of this world. So many things around us...

Secrets Behind Great Image Making - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
Improve your image making by better understanding that great images come from a series of decisions, not merely impulse and opportunity. In under three hours, participants will see before and after examples of photographs…hearing the challenges behind making each image and the decisions that ultimately brought them to life. Participation in the workshop can be a way for students to either begin their journey of improved image making OR a visual treat after completing steps one and two in the course sequence. Explore robotics during this week-long camp designed for incoming 1st and 2nd graders. Campers will use LEGO WeDo technology to build mechanisms, learn correct troubleshooting procedures, and witness their hand-built creations come to life! Elementary Robotics will challenge campers with various engineering problems and develop their potential. By the end of the week, campers will be able to explain parts of the design process, have a better understanding of multi-step directions, and be more excited about robotics. 8504737468.0

Elementary school youth within the autism spectrum. Activities for campers include coloring and painting, musical games, playground fun, swimming twice a week and local field trips. Quiet time, low lighting and sensory activities will be used as a transition from ESY to camp. Depending on skill levels, campers will be divided into two groups during some activities. To be successful, must be able to follow one/two step directions, ability to manage their behavior and be able to make simple choices. Campers must exhibit ability for self care with limited assistance with changing or prompting using bathroom. Staff ratio: 1 staff/4 participants. TRANSPORTATION : If attending ESY, contact your teens school to arrange transportation to camp.
