This program is designed for children ages 6-9 and 10-13 yrs of age. Along with athletic training to build motor skills, endurance and strength we will be doing games like 4 Square, Dodge Ball, Water Balloon Tag, Corn Hole, Jail Break, etc. Full Day of Camp ($119/week) is from 9 am - 2 pm, Half Day ($75/week) is 9 am - 11:30 am Mon-Fri. Spa Day is an annual event at YoungLives Camp for Teen Moms and Babies. For many of these girls, this will be the first time they are cared for in this manner, and we need a lot of help to make it happen! Volunteers are needed from 10:30-2:30 & lunch will be provided. No experience necessary. Once you get there, we will assign you to a station, so note your special skills or area you'd like to help: Facial Massage Body scrub kit creating Nails What a great opportuity to get out of the heat, and enjoy the beautiful property of Lost Canyon while serving young moms. CIRRUS MINOR Battling for a slot on SUMMER CAMP 2016! - Des Moines, IA
$5 gets you admission and one vote at this special ALL AGES event, where 4 regional bands (including CIRRUS MINOR) will compete to win a slot on the SUMMER CAMP MUSIC FESTIVAL in Chilicothe, Illinois on Memorial Day Weekend; this would have us playing alongside Mudcrutch (with Tom Petty), Umphrey's McGee, Fishbone, STS9, moe., George Clinton and P-Funk.... and so many more! We need your vote! Also, we need people to help spread the word- we haven't played since October, plus, Joe Corbin (our drummer) will NOT be playing this show with us- he and his wife are expecting a new baby within a couple days of the show- so you will see a Cirrus Minor show unlike any you have seen before... gonna get creative! DMSA Boys & Girls Day Academy - University of North Florida
The DMSA Day Academy has established itself as North Floridas Premier Summer Soccer Day Camp. It is specifically designed to teach skills, tactics, and fundamentals of soccer. This will be accomplished by individual instruction by our highly qualified coaching staff and age-specific curriculum. The environment will emphasize fun. Every camper will receive a DMSA T-shirt and water bottle for each camp attended as well as one soccer ball. We will be playing games and instruments in this melodic camp. Using patterned text from childrens songs and poems, we will actively "do music" while gaining stronger literacy skills. You will experience many literacy components such as syllabication, phonics, and rhyming. We will use pictures and context clues to decode new vocabulary. General Camp Information: Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration Fee: $220 Includes: Five full days of camp, a field trip, activities, materials, daily snacks, and a camp T-shirt. Campers are required to bring a bag lunch each day. Where and When: Our Summer Camp will be held at our Orlando facility in our Education Center room. Campers will be able to enter through the Education Center door which is located to the left of the Business Office and Clinic entrances. Camp staff will be greeting campers between 8:30 and 9:00a.m. Please be prompt! On field trip days, we may be leaving as little as 15 minutes after camp begins. Campers must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian each day. Camp Activities: The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlandos Summer Camp is designed for kids who love animals. Campers will experience hands on activities with shelter pets, gain knowledge from educational speakers, and enjoy animal-related arts & crafts, enrichment projects, games, and much more. Children can spend their week learning to sew or improving their sewing skills. A sewing machine will be provided for each student to use during class. Beginning students will start with a tote bag and pencil pouch. Advanced students will be able to choose what they would like to make from different patterns presented.
