Teen Impact Summer Camp is from Monday, July 20th - Saturday, July 25th at Camp Agape in Benton, Tennessee. Cost is $300, plus an additional $35 for whitewater rafting (optional). Release form for rafting is required. Camp deposit of $100 holds your spot and is due by June 15th. Balance due by July 15. All deposits are final & non-refundable. 4-H Teen Summit - Session 3 - Nancy, KY
Kentucky 4-H Teen Summit is held annually at the Kentucky 4-H Educational Center in Jabez, KY. The conference is for youth who are currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship and communication skills in youth. While at the conference, all participants get to learn in fun and educational workshops taught by members of the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council. The conference also includes motivational speakers that get young people excited about leadership. The cost to attend is $115 which includes meals, lodging, and transportation. All participants must have at least completed Kindergarten, no exceptions! The Brisbane Parks & Recreation Department provides a special summer camp for children to play, learn, explore and just have fun! Activities include arts & crafts, games, sports, swimming, music, special projects and weekly Wednesday field trips. A current emergency card [] (printable pdf) must be on file at the Parks & Recreation Office prior to the start of Summer Camp. Each student will learn creative movement, tumbling, stretching, and basic dance steps. We will create art and craft projects that will be used in different dances. On the last day we will have a short showing for parents 30 minutes before camp is over. If youve ever wanted to design a play jungle for hamsters, a four-story luxury dog house, or the coolest cat castle the world has ever seen, this class is for you! In this workshop, well use Design Thinking to research, invent, and prototype new solutions for happier pets. Come prepared to create, think about animals, and build a pet utopia! Instructor Bio: Rei Jackler is an Oakland arts educator, design teacher, writer, and maker nerd. She holds a Masters in Teaching from Stanford University, where she also trained in Design Thinking at the D.School. In Oakland, she is currently Makerspace Manager for the La Escuelita Elementary School Makerspace, and has also taught design with Chapter 510. Rei loves making of all kinds: knitting multi-colored scarves, writing fantastical short stories, and baking with a lot of chocolate. This is the official youth baseball/softball camp of the Milwaukee Brewers. In addition to 30 hours of professional-grade instruction, each camper will receive a full uniform, four tickets to a Brewers game, and a VIP Miller Park experience that will include meeting a current player. He/she will also participate in the Brewers Skills Competition with the top scorers competing on Champions Day at Miller Park. Camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-14 and runs M-F from 9am to 3pm. 2016 will be the fourth year of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Academy. The Academy has earned the reputation as one of the finest baseball/softball camps in America. There is a family and friends discount available.
