Baseball Class - BASEBALL CAMP - Adams Park
Put me in coach...Im ready to play! This camp will focus on baseball fundamentals and techniques from hitting, fielding and throwing to pitching, base running and more. Campers will participate in daily drills, scrimmages, stations and contests to develop big league skills. Camp will be conducted rain or shine. Parents will be provided with information on how to handle rain days on the first day of camp. Supplies: Campers should bring their own bat and glove, and a packed lunch with a beverage and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend campers use sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30. Nature Crafts (Grandparent and Me) (AM) - Ned Smith Center for Nature & Art
Are you as inspired by the natural world as we are? Join us as we gently explore the trails of the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art in search of leaves, twigs, acorns, etc. so that we can create our own beautiful nature-inspired craft projects and works of art. Date: Thursday, August 18th 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. or Friday, August 19th 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Ages: 4 – 8 with an adult Instructors: Beth Sanders, Santino Lauricella NOTE: Choose ONE OF TWO sessions for this camp. Girls Volleyball Evening Camp #1 - Hollinger Fieldhouse
WCU Volleyball Camps offer instruction at the beginner and advanced levels. Beginners will focus on knowledge of the game, competitive fun, and fundamental ball control. Advanced campers will cover the proper technique for basic skills, offensive playsets, defensive formations, strategy, teamwork and attitude, and setting personal and team goals. Campers will be placed on teams, depending on skill level, with specialized coaching on each level. Each camper should bring comfortable volleyball or cross train-ing sneakers, extra shirt and socks, and a container of water. WCU and its camp staff are not responsible for lost or missing items. Toys & Trinkets 3D Printing - The Evergreen School
3D printers have incredible uses, from building tools as-needed on the International Space Station to creating personal custom toys and jewelry. We have 3D printers in our new innovation BIG Lab! Well be using them all week creating toys and trinkets. Is your child looking for the perfect desk organizer? Or, do those model kits your child buys at the store not perfectly match his/her vision for the Dungeons and Dragons character they wish to create? Now is the time to design it and 3D print it! Students will be learning how to use 3D design software, setting up the 3D printer, and then executing their vision. 206-957-1533
