Teen Sewing Boot Camp - Edmonds, WA
Is your teen bored already? Sign him/her up for our week long beginning sewing boot camp running Monday through Friday, July 19 through 22 from 10 am to 2 pm daily. They will learn basic hand sewing techniques by hand making their own pin cushion and then graduate to sewing a pillowcase, pajama pants a skirt and other cool stuff., including getting to participate in a community project. You will need to bring your own sewing machine if you have one, and basic sewing supplies. A list of fabrics and notions will be sent to you once you have registered. Cost is $100. Robotics Camps - Avery Street Annex
Students will learn how to program a robot to navigate through maze challenges, detect obstacles and even get the opportunity to duel other robot teams in a mini sump competition. By the end of the camp students will show off their learned robotics skills, experience STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) first hand and take their robot home to continue their exploration of its many capabilities. Boys & Girls, max. 12 This camp is designed for players age 14 and under who are match ready. These classes will focus on improving players game, specifically focusing on skills such as footwork, strategy, spins, feel and match play. Ceramics 6 - Learn to Throw - Artists Exchange
Build your skills with a week of camp devoted to the pottery wheel. Start by throwing the basic cylinder form and turning it into a functional bowl or vase. Add some character to the plates and cups you use every day with interesting surface techniques and glaze. Ceramics camps allow children to immerse themselves in clay studio studies ranging from basic hand building, wheel throwing, and sculpting. Campers will learn a variety of skills designed to fit the camp they are in. Ceramic focus campers will learn the technical aspects of recycling, slab work, build a simple kiln from a metal trash can and firing pottery in it. All under the guidance of a professional potter and the fire department. Clay adventures offers a beginners taste of experimenting with clay.
