Tigers Elite Soccer Camps in Los Angeles offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental and advanced skills of soccer. Campers will be made aware of the characteristics that define successful soccer players. Organized games between campers will provide a competitive outlet after specific drills have been practiced. Contests built into drills capture the learners attention, which results in attentive practice. What is Youth Councils? Youth Councils is a three day retreat specifically for Jr. High, High School and college age youth to be challenged and strengthened in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Who can attend Youth Councils? We have two tracks to set up so that we can tailor everything to the specific needs of your youth. To attend the Jr. High Track, youth must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade by April 10, 2015. In order to be in the High School Track, youth need to be in 9th grade-age 25 by that same date. When is Youth Councils 2015? Youth Councils 2015 is being held from April 10-12, 2015 at Wonderland Camp & Conference Center. What is the theme for Youth Councils 2015? On Stage: Footlight Camp - Matilda - Takoma Park Community Center
In On Stage: Footlights, everyone shines! Our camp is designed to allow students the opportunity to dive into performance and design/construction aspects of theatre by working on an abridged production. This year, students will perform 2-3 musical numbers from the Broadway hit, Matilda , based on Roald Dahls beloved book. All songs will be performed as a group, and everyone will get a chance to be Matilda! Well start each day with physical, vocal, imagination & focus building warm-ups. Heres what well be doing: * creating & developing characters * learning music/songs * blocking/choreographing musical numbers * playing drama games * getting to know the theatre space and theatre terminology * set design and construction * working with props and costumes Our goal is to have every student on stage, every student engaged in the creative process, every student proud of their work. Fridays camp hours are extended to 3pm because Footlights students will join the Spotlight campers for final rehearsals and performance on Friday, July 15! World Cafe Cooking Spanish PK-5 (Friday) - Janney Elementary School
World Café is a great opportunity for our language students to increase their exposure to their target language in a fun Friday afternoon session. Children who arent studying languages at Janney but have some knowl- edge of Spanish, French, or Chinese are also welcome to participate. This session will emphasize cooking. Rush (Tiny Level 1) - Power House Athletics
The Rush (USASF Levels 1 ) are our Tiny team, consisting of minature athletes ages 6 and younger. This team gives the little ones a chance to get out in front of a crowd and perform their routine. Skills focused on are basic but incorporate the full spectrum of competitive cheerleading. We may not be the most exciting team to watch but definately the cutest. Camp Joyful Hearts - Joy Outdoor Education Center
Growing up with heart disease can present significant physical and emotional challenges. Through Camp Joyful Hearts, Family Camp, and the support network of kids in similar circumstances that gather there each summer, we hope to help kids with heart disease and their families address these challenges. The Heart Institute at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center is dedicated to bettering the lives of heart patients and their families with compassion, commitment and the best possible medical care. Every year Cincinnati Childrens Heart Institute hosts a weekend Family Camp in May and a week summer camp in June called Camp Joyful Hearts for our patients at Camp Joy north of Cincinnati, OH.
