A JBRC Camp Counselor-In-Training must be a Christian; pleasant toward campers, counselors, and fellow workers. Must be willing to work hard and go the extra mile. Must have a servants heart!. A CIT will be assigned to a JBRC Staffer and will undergird her work. She will not be allowed to have the full responsibility of the cabin, but will observe, learn and help keep the cabin running smoothly. Exploring the Arts Teen Art Camp at Stiletto's Fine Arts Studio . Every day from 9am-1pm. Fee is $150 per child ages 11-16….a $50.00 deposit must be paid in advance to reserve your spot. Kids After Schoo Core Cooking Camp, Ages 5-8 (Bellevue) - Bellevue, WA
This is a wonderful program that will lay the foundation for healthy eating by educating and empowering students (ages 5-8) about basic kitchen safety, creating a healthy balanced plate, how to subsititue ingredients to make meals healthier and so much more! Classes are sold in a session of four, are held on Wednesdays frm January 4th-25th and are two hours long. The first 30 minutes of each class is dedicated to nutrition education including games and activities. The remaining time is dedicated to cooking, eating, and cleanup. Our Core Cooking Program covers topics such as: Kitchen Safety, Cross-Contamination, Healthy Snacks, Fueling Your Body, Healthy Breakfasts, MyPlate Nutrition, Lunch N Munch, Healthy Cooking Substitutions of Kids’ Favorite Foods Activity sheets, recipes, helpful tips, and individual workstations for hands-on activity are included in the course. Singing for Musical Theatre – Ensemble Performance - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
No class on Feb. 14. This course is designed for singers at any level (grades 2nd - 9th). Students will learn the basics of vocal technique for proper singing, including voice placement and production, breathing, and phrasing. Students will receive guidance in finding their voice type and category. They will also work on presenting songs – learning how to make a song come alive by not just singing it, but interpreting and performing it. This semesters in-class concentration will be on musical theatre chorus/ensemble numbers. Students will work on singing together, and will be taught not just melodies, but also how to sing harmonies and various vocal parts. (An ability to sing harmonies and to sing with others is an essential part of musical theatre performance.) Some of the songs will also include basic movement/staging, and the music and movement that is learned will be presented/ performed in a musical revue format. Students will perform on the LTA stage in the Spring Showcase on April 1st and 2nd! August 8-12th Winona River Rats - Jaycees Pavilion
Learn and create riverside games using found rocks, sticks, and whatever else the river gives us. Build miniature test rafts and race them. Build a rafts large and small. Learn about useful and edible aquatic plants and animals. Track aquatic creatures along riverbank including the beaver, muskrat, heron, raccoon and more. Build primitive forts. Make and fish with a simple cane pole just like Huck and Tom. Use cane pole as part of stick and bindle (hobo satchel) to carry your goods during your travels. Search for treasures to fill your bindle. Barter and trade for each others treasures. 507-272-5320
