Snowed In Kids Retreat - Annville, KY
Hey there parents! We will be having a Kids Retreat for 3RD-5TH GRADERS out at Faith Christian Camp on February 12th! Arrival time is at 6:30 on that Friday and then pick up will be by 11:00am on Saturday morning. Dinner and brunch will be served. The cost is $10 per kid. Matt Johnson is the Dean for this retreat. Music Production Camp - Bernards High School
Music Production Camp July 11-14, 2016 (Monday-Thursday), 9:00am-12:00pm Bernards High School MIDI Laboratory (F-201) Break into the music industry when you come and learn the tools of the trade! Become a music producer by learning the basics of recording and digital music with this introductory course in music technology led by Fred Trumpy (Band and Music Technology teacher at Bernards High School, Bernardsville). Students will be given hands-on experience with the software and hardware that professionals use to create, edit and distribute digital music. Throughout the week, students will create and edit digital music and video, creating projects that will be published on www.MusicSH.org. No musical or computer experience is necessary. Lego EV3 Robotics - Universalist Unitarian Church - Arlington
Lego EV3 Robotics (Ages 8 through 12) This program introduces students to the exciting world of robotics. Students will use the Lego Mindstorms EV3 elements to program their robots to solve a series of challenges everyday. They will build using motors of different power and experiment with touch, ultrasonic, gyro, and color sensor to play fun games such as hockey and sumo wrestling. Lessons will cover topics in computer science, technology, engineering, math, and science. Campers will learn fundamentals of programming blocks such as loops, conditional operations, and the use of variables to store sensor values; and will learn how to program remote control, create parallel programming, and use computers, Bluetooth, and other technologies to connect with their robots. After mastering the basics of Lego EV3 building and programming, students will be immersed in a series of challenging Mars missions: launch the satellite, collect rocks, activate communications, save the robot, secure the power supply, and return to base safely.
