I.G.N.I.T.E Youth Camp Retreat - Trevor, WI
Our goal is to refresh your children spiritually as well as socially before returning back to school. This will be a great opportunity for all of us to get connected and stay connected for years to come. Promised Land Ministries is a Christian based organization that holds retreats for an array of different ministries including youth. We have joined together with them to create an eventful, fun-filled experience for August. Our days will be packed with loads of fun outdoor activities, balanced out with daily devotions and small group breakout sessions. We will be camping in tents so please be aware. This retreat is for members only between the ages of 12-18. The cost will be $90.00 per individual covering everything including; food, shelter, transportation, activities, etc. We will be having multiple fundraisers prior in the hopes that every child will be paid for in full. Nature & Pond Life - Middle School
Through observation and inquiry, students explore the Nature around them. In this session we take the children through nature trails and begin our journey with a trees parts and the role each part plays in a trees life cycle. After observing patterns in nature, students create their own design project that will reinforce the lesson learned. What makes a bird a bird? To find out, students go on a picturesque bird walk and use binoculars to observe birds closely. They comb the environment to investigate artifacts like feathers, feet, and skulls to discover how different birds learn to adapt and thrive in their special niches. A hands-on art project helps to reinforce this avian adventure. Through simple scientific observation and physical exploration, students investigate the nature of seeds, their role in the cycle of life, and interesting ways that they adapt, survive, and thrive in their environment. Students dissect seeds and then create their own seed mosaic. They learn about the lifecycles of bees and the role they play in pollination. Futuristic Dream Houses - The Evergreen School
Students will combine a wide variety of elements of design, engineering, and fantasy to create models of their own futuristic dream house. Well be learning how to and using the laser cutter for structure, 3D printer for furniture and features, electronic elements for lighting or elevators or… whatever else your child can dream up for their futuristic house. This class will focus on design, prototyping, craftsmanship, and creativity to produce the models, whether elaborate or sleek.
