Yes, boys will boys and that's why this camp experience was tailor made for our two pre-teens. It seems like they never run out of energy and this was the perfect environment to keep them busy. I also very much liked the ability to check in and see how they were progressing. This year there will be two separate camps with the second two week camp starting on July 18 and conclude on July 29 2016. Did you know that your favorite sweet treats are the product of an interesting array of chemical reactions? Tie on your apron! Its time to bake some sweet treats as we have fun learning about the science of baking and kitchen safety. Participants in this session will learn the science behind baking the perfect cookie as well as the proper way to measure and mix ingredients, kitchen safety, baking techniques, and how to overcome baking challenges as we make a different type of cookie each day (including at least one gluten free option). Ms. Suzanne Russell earned her M.S. in Library Science from Indiana University. She is the subject area librarian for Brebeufs Religious Studies and Science departments. Get ready to dream big in this exciting art camp focused on artists who illustrated their dreams. This camp will focus on artists who used their creative imagination, stepped out of the box and create artworks focused on the Surreal. Students will paint imaginary animals, sculpt an imaginary dreamscape, and learn how to draw from your imagination. Students will learn about artists like Picasso, Miro, Dali, Munch, and many more.
