Food Cart Freewheelers will again bring campers around the city with one great ambition: to find the best lunch, while exploring the foodie side of Portland through its many food cart offerings. Campers ride to a different food cart pod everyday and learn to budget and plan their spending. Campers can look forward to broadening their understanding of cycling and cuisine, and experiencing the empowerment of earning a hot lunch with a week of riding. Skills they will develop: • Completing sharp turns • Riding down a hill fast while in total control of the bike • Understanding right of way • Navigating and riding in traffic: signaling or communicating with other road users, taking the lane, etc. • Troubleshooting problems and communicating effectively with a mechanic 503-288-8864 x321

Howdy fellow camp alumni and camp lovers! Come out Friday, June 17th, for a fun filled night of music and drinks at the Columbia heights VFW on 45th and Central. Music will be provided by the awesome cover band, Greyduck with Chelsea Csargo on the vocals who is a former camper, staff member, and current volunteer. This event is a special night to donate money to future campers. Let's help provide kids with the opportunity to experience the magic of the Hodag while building memories they will carry throughout their lifetime! Everyone is welcome... So bring your friends! P.S. Drinks are affordable and there is no cover:)

Cabinets of Curiosity - Lyman Campus
Ages: Girls and Boys Entering Grades 7 - 9 Dates: June 27 – July 1 Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Format: One-week session designed around challenging activities Location: Laurels Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights Tuition: $360/session Cabinets of curiosity, also known as wonder rooms, were collections of extraordinary objects used to categorize the world and tell stories about its oddities. In this class, we will create a wonder room by investigating several of the many ways in which science and art intersect. By highlighting the overlap between art and science, we will gain a better understanding of each, as well as a new appreciation for how art can play a role in scientific processes and how science can inform and facilitate the creation of visual art. Topics of exploration may include: • Gyotaku/fish printing • Biological illustration • Kinetic sculpture • Cyanotyping/solar prints • The golden ratio and biomimicry • Using bacteria as paint • Nature journaling and the history of collecting 216-455-0154

Join Raider coaches and varsity players for an unforgettable basketball learning experience at the Official Roseville Basketball Camp. Our mission is to provide a complete, in-depth basketball experience emphasizing the fundamentals to help boys in grades 3-12 to reach their full potential. The coaches will teach skills and drills that players can use throughout the summer. Camp will include team activities: Fast Break League, 3 on 3, and 5 on 5 games, contests and other fun activities to strengthen basketball skills of future Raider hoopsters. World Café is a great opportunity for our language students to increase their exposure to their target language in a fun Friday afternoon session. Children who arent studying languages at Janney but have some knowl- edge of Spanish, French, or Chinese are also welcome to participate. This session will emphasize cooking. The lessons have been chosen to make language learning fun. Our language teachers will be running the classes. This is a great way to wind down the week and practice language skills! 202-724-8950

Magical Gardens Gardens are a major part of what makes the Hermitage so special. During this week of camp we will celebrate various gardens as we take your young artist out into the beautiful Rose Garden, Sunken Garden, and Rain Gardens at the Hermitage. Campers will do observational drawings, landscape paintings and create their very own ‘magical garden. Through nature walks they will discover garden sculptures and learn about patterns in the natural world. This year campers will also have a special opportunity to contribute to the Hermitages very own vegetable garden! Allow your artist to discover magic in the Hermitage Gardens! The camp day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m., with a morning session that will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon, lunch and playing time from noon to 1:00 p.m., and the afternoon session from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. The camp day ends promptly at 4:00 p.m. 757-423-2052 x203
