Afternoon Escapades An afternoon camp for those looking for an exciting addition to their day! Ages 3 - 12 yrs 12:30- 3:30pm Staff to camper ratio 1:6 Week 1 Located at the Recreation Department at Green Lake/ Yates Park Afternoons will be structured and filled with camp activities such as Arts and Crafts, Archery, Boating, Splash Pad, nature activities and themed activities which would be different each and every day. Are your campers already signed up for Sports camp or Minicamp but want to take advantage of this new program? Not a problem!! Register your campers for both and our staff will walk and sign your campers into Afternoon Escapades after their morning program ends. Register weekly for all or just a few! DIGITAL FILMMAKING: SO YOU WANT TO BE ON YOUTUBE? - Memphis University School
This camp challenges students to tell a story with moving images and offers hands-on learning and instruction in writing, directing, editing, cinematography, and production. While producing a group film, each student will experience several aspects of the creative process. Topics covered include storyboarding, camera techniques, sound and music, and scriptwriting. The camp culminates with a screening of the students films. The course does not require special equipment or skills. 901-260-1300

Fiddling Fun and Jazzy Jammin Both fiddling and jazz styles enhance the musical development of any string player within a motivating context. Fiddlin Fun will boost your musical confidence and performance skills through a journey into an alternative performance style, through Celtic and American Fiddle Tunes. In Jazzy Jammin you will learn cool jazz rhythms, bowings, swing and be­bop style, syncopation and different scales.Open to violin, viola, cello and stringed bass. Taught by Dr. Melinda Rubin. Please register by May 10, 2016 On June 17th, at the last class, parents are welcome to celebrate in the students accomplishments. Requirements: Students must have completed at least 2 years of study on their instrument and be competent in note­reading so they can fully enjoy the class experience. Ready, set, soar! The key to excelling in all sports is speed and/or endurance and proper form. With the coachs guidance, you will set personal goals and strive each day to reach them along with participating in fun runs and relays with other campers. Fitness games, group games, and more fun activities will be incorporated in the daily schedule.
