Shakespeare Unplugged Workshop - Carolina Day School
This workshop explores Shakespeare in an intimate and accessible way through passion, imagination, and language. You will gain a deeper understanding of the plays, the motives behind them and the characters. Junior Tennis Camp: Week of June 20th - Town of Matthews, NC
Junior tennis is taking over Matthews with new rules and equipment, making it easier than ever to get started and be successful! This summer we?re offering two exciting weeks of Junior Tennis Camps in Matthews for ages 6-12. Each week, Monday through Thursday (Friday is a rain date), from 9:00am to 11:00am, juniors will experience great tennis instruction, fun games, and matchplay. Tennis Academy of North Carolina?s Camps and Clinics are challenging, rewarding, and most importantly fun! Lake Adventure Camp - Burlington, VT
This camp combines the best of all our lake ecology, maritime heritage and adventure skills— for kids who love to be outdoors! We will explore the waterfront environment on bikes; explore shipwrecks with masks, snorkels and fins; and take an expedition down a river as original inhabitants of the Champlain Basin would have. EV3 SPACE ROBOTICS, MINECRAFT & STOP MOTION ANIMATION - The Derryfield School
Explore the stars! The Star Wars universe will be our guide as we tackle the challenges and adventures of space exploration. Participants will learn how to build and program their own planetary exploration droid in order to find the Rebels a new planet to put their base. Build and program your droid to navigate unseen areas, collect and test samples, and even film its exploits! Participants will learn how to use sensors to help their droid maneuver through an unknown land, in order to collect and test samples and bring back information to the Rebels. Children will even be able to have their droid record its adventures using a smartphone. In the afternoon campers will learn about circuits and Redstone to build Rebel bases on hostile worlds filled with traps and defenses to protect them from the Empire. Later we will take on the role of the Empire and attack each others bases to test their defenses. Children will learn how to camouflage their base into its surroundings (using hidden doors and other techniques), as well as how to use Redstone to create traps and other defenses against the Empire.
