Theme for camp this year is: Philippians 3:3 “For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” We will explore 3 questions throughout the week. Sellwood Cruisers Grades 4-5 (4 Day Camp M-Th) - Sellwood Cycle Repair
Nothing compares to the joy of cruising through Portland on a bike in the summer. Cruisers get a whole week of expanding their city view by exploring their neighborhood and beyond. Each day campers decide which destinations and parks to explore as a group, developing a sense of teamwork and mutual support along the way. Trips focus on riding safely, crossing intersections, reading maps, and troubleshooting common mechanical problems. Cruisers experience the empowerment of discovering new places through their very own person-powered transportation. As riders challenge themselves each day, many are surprised by how far they can go on two wheels. Skills they will develop: • Controlling speed around other riders • Taking left turns into bike lanes • Riding on various surfaces • Shifting gears for efficiency • Map reading and route planning • Wheel removal and flat repair 503-288-8864 x321

Balletmäuse mit Steffanie Keim invites boys and girls on a magical journey to discover how they can express themselves through dancing, discovering body coordination, musical awareness through age appropriate exercises by using their imagination and promoting creativity, self-confidence and development. Young dancers will be introduced to ballet through games, stories and imaginative exercises and will discover the joy of creative movement. The focus is on songs and dancing to music using props and imagination and basic co-ordination. Miss Steffanie is originally from Germany and has studied ballet, jazz and top in Heidelberg and New York City. She has taught in the Young Dancers Program at Steps on Broadway in New York City and completed the David Howard teacher certification. Ahh, the natural world - a canvas of beauty that has enchanted artists since the beginning of time! Young artistes will learn how to paint ‘en plein air and travel to Georgia OKeeffe country for an overnight campout, using the light and landscape for inspiration. We will cool off in Abiquiu Lake in between art sessions before heading home to Santa Fe to complete our plein-air art adventure! 505-699-6230
