Hogwarts of Fairhope presents the Hogsmeade Halloween Festival! Join the Professors and Staff for a fun afternoon of Halloween and Harry Potter themed games, crafts and fun! Come in costume to enjoy Trick or Treating as we transform Homestead Village into Hogsmeade, the legendary all-wizard community in the Harry Potter books. Youth in Emergency Preparedness Camp - Weslaco, TX
This summer from June 19, 2016 to June 23, 2016, the Rio Grande Valley Medical Reserve Corps and the Weslaco Fire Department are hosting a Youth Preparedness Camp. The camp is for Rio Grande Valley teenagers between the ages of 14-18. There are three man components of the Youth Preparedness Camp. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training – All camp participants (including the adult sponsor) receive the full basic CERT course complete with certification. The basic CERT program is delivered as one component of camp in an effort to educate youth about disaster preparedness and provide them the skills they need to support local first responders in an emergency situation, if needed. This training includes lessons on fire safety, basic first aid, search and rescue, incident command system (ICS), and disaster psychology, among others. In addition to classroom-based lessons, youth are given ample opportunity to practice their skills through hands-on activities, tabletop discussions, and exercises. The CERT training culminates in a large full-scale exercise in which youth allocate resources, attend to live role playing victims, and interact with real first responders. WEEK 5: Ages 4-8: SPACE: REACH FOR THE STARS - SciTech Kids
Get ready for an amazing exploration of space. Kids will learn fun facts about the universe through hands-on activity that expand their mind. Topics include planetariums, constellations, space missions, building a satellite, lunar phases, planets, the International Space Station, tracking the Sun and how telescopes work. Adventure Camp - Week 7 - The Greenwell Foundation
Adventure Camp is for children ages 8 – 12 (by first day of camp session). Why is Adventure Camp different? Campers are provided the opportunity to explore further into the park with longer hikes, shelter building, and learning how to build a campfire – and then Smores! Part of Adventure Camp is letting the group direct what activities they would like to do by coming up with new and exciting adventures. The staff has the freedom to be creative when making these fun adventures come to life. Campers will have an opportunity to kayak twice during the week, including a visit to the Hollywood Oyster Company. They will create and run their own unique obstacle course, go fishing and crabbing from the pier, and build their own boats out of recycled materials and test to see if they are sea-worthy. Mid-week, campers will hike to the Manor House area where they can build forts with bamboo, explore the gardens, play water games and capture the flag, visit the Barn and participate in our Nature Time program. Each afternoon, campers are provided an afternoon snack and each week there is a chance to make Smores. The week ends with Tye-Dye Friday... 301-373-9775

Wet N Wild Journey - Pine Springs Camp
