Students will learn about project design, object-oriented programming, console applications, graphics applications and many elements of the Java language. Students will build on what they learn each day. This includes learning how to program frames, colors and programming moving objects. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java. No programming experience is necessary but doing common tasks on a computer is useful. Who knows, maybe you have the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs living in your house and you never knew it! You will have the option of choosing from projects such as: Fuse-your-own Fabrics, Slingshot Car Launcher, Wood-Crafted Wonders, Toppling Towers, Remote Release Zip Line Alarm Clock and that is just to name a few.
