Spring MONDAY Creative Coding: ­Advanced & Beginner Winter - Villa Academy
Creative Coding teaches your child the joy of computer programming by helping them write their own Custom computer games and animations! Beginner students will participate in the Creative Coding core curriculum, learning the fundamental elements of coding using MITs Scratch to create their very own computer game! Advanced coders (students with previous Scratch experience) will enjoy the Advanced Curriculum, where each week contains a unique mix of coding challenges techniques, and hacks. Our classes are designed to be repeated as many times as desired. Each time, kids increase their coding skills, speed and proficiency. Many parents and educators are realizing that the benefits of learning to code at a young age extend far beyond the skill itself. Well spend the week exploring all things related to summer time camping – fishing, woodland creatures, nighttime skies and fireflies – just to name a few. Game Design: McDonald - McDonald International School
Students in Game Design will have the opportunity to create a video game using Kodu Game Lab! Our theme is "Sea Life". Your child will utilize the sea creatures, objects and "bots" in order to save the underwater environment from toxic dredge and ooze. Students will learn to program an underwater submarine to clean up the ocean floor and defend our sea life. We will build the seafloor with the terrain tools, add sealife and objectives. Students will learn how to program scoreboards and timers in order to tell their story and program enemy bots. Redstone Engineering and Minecraft Modding - Ethical Culture
Young engineers will level up their creative knowledge with our custom educational version of Minecraft. Well show them how to design and build with redstone, the information and electricity conducting material in Minecraft that can be used to teach students fundamental concepts of electrical and mechanical engineering, engineering design theory, and logic skills. Well use redstone circuitry to complete various projects that might involve moving devices, functional computing machines, or even audio visual sequences based on basic programing logic, all while the students are in a virtual world of their making. Minecraft becomes a powerful learning tool as we help guide our young makers into new discoveries about engineering, circuitry, computing, and design. Elite Training Camp, Week 2 - Bolles San Jose Campus
The Elite Training Camp is the highest level of swim camp offered at The Bolles School. This camp will challenge swimmers mentally and physically as campers will train like The Bolles School Sharks swimmers in an intense, competitive team atmosphere.
