The theme for our camp is “Withholding Nothing” where we will focus on encouraging young people to present their lives as a living sacrifice unto God (Romans 12:1). The preachers who will be ministering at our camp are brother Amado Huizar (SoCal Youth President, UPCI) and Pastor Javier Orozco (Rios de Agua Viva Rialto, UPCI). In addition to worship and the preaching of God's word, there will be breakout sessions to strengthen our young people”s relationship with God and guide them to finding their calling in ministry. Spend some time camping with your Girl Scout Troop at Sandy Ridge! Price includes accommodations at Sandy Ridge. Troop is responsible for food and programming during their stay. Troops must have approval by GSESC to overnight camp at Sandy Ridge. A Trip Approval Form must be submitted to your Regional Volunteer Services Specialist (VSS) at least three weeks prior to reservation date. Fundamentals Sports Camp is a six week program which may include basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, Summer Olympics, and flag football. Each week we focus on learning the rules and history of a sport, playing it at least once each day. Old camp favorites such as dodge ball, capture the flag, four square, and pirate ball are incorporated into the program as well. However, Fundamentals Sports Camp is not only about the games we play but it is our "off the field" curriculum that sets us apart form other sports day camps. Informal discussions on sports current events, character-building, sportsmanship, and choosing role models are held daily. Fundamentals teaches children the value of teamwork and commitment which are the essential elements of success in sports, as well as in life.
