Making it move is the name of the game at this exciting camp! Kids will love to see their creations in motion using LEGO® wireless remote controls. Each day, campers will use fascinating and challenging LEGO® components to create dynamic vehicles, inventions, machines and more. As they enjoy the fun of building, campers will understand the basic working principles of many ingenious devices that are part of our everyday lives. Campers will also learn how to magnify, diminish and redirect force to move objects at different speeds and in different directions. This camp is loads of fun and learning for budding builders. Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. Cost is $75 for Y members and $90 for non-members and includes: meals, lodging, use of canoeing gear, transportation between Camp Timbers and the Au Sable River, and programming. Teen Theatre Boot Camp Be in a one act musical where YOU have input to the character development, blocking, costume design and sets as you rehearse and create the production. Be trained by local directors in drama, dance, and voice. Everyone gets a part in the show. An exercise in creativity all around. This is a great environment to push yourself as an actor, try something new, and see how it works out. Together with your cast, create the set pieces, props, and costume pieces. Our Directors always see a difference in the abilities of performers who have participated in a Theater Immersion Camp. What is a Theater Immersion Camp? A show in a week! So much fun that Immersion Camps are one of our favorite programs! It's that time of year again! Time for our most awesome event of the year...Youth Camp!!! This year youth camp will be held beginning Monday, July 18 and will end with a camp BBQ on Friday, July 22nd. ****REGISTRATION**** Registration is $85 before July 1st. After July 1st, registration will be $100. Your registration fee covers meals and activities, please bring extra money for the canteen! **** We are excited to have Bro. Tony Bohrer, the Colorado District Youth President with us this year! He will be speaking in all of our evening services as well as our Friday morning dismissal service.
