BRITISH SOCCER CAMP: FULL-DAY ADVANCED - Adams Park
Challenger Sports British Soccer Camps provide young players of all abilities with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts right in the heart of their own community. Campers will be exposed to individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games and scrimmages. Soccer skills are coached within a framework of character development based on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship. We offer a cultural education too! Camp: Robotics Using LEGO WEDO - PACE Center
Build and program robots in this introductory robotics class using the LEGO® WeDo system. Learn basic programming skills, simple engineering concepts, and the names of robot components. Work in small groups to complete several projects using tilt and motion sensors. 9th - 12th grades: SAT Prep - Critical Reading and Writing - Saint Marys School
Prepare for SAT success! In this rigorous, half-day camp, youll learn the form and style of the test--which was completely redesigned as of March 2016--as well as the essential content and strategies for approaching each question on the critical reading and writing portions of the SAT. You will learn how to recognize the types of questions asked on the reading passages, become a more critical reader, and identify the evidence on which your answers are based. For the writing section, we will review the most commonly tested grammar rules and skills as well as learn and practice what it takes to write an outstanding essay, which is now optional and follows a completely different format from the previous version of the SAT. Youll leave this camp with the confidence and skills to make your best score yet on critical reading and writing! (An SAT book will be provided.) All activities this week will revolve around sports. We will allow the children to select several sport related activities to participate in each day. These events can be anything from soccer,baseball/softball, tennis, ultimate Frisbee, cheerleading and other miscellaneous sports. We hope to provide campers with the opportunity to play various sports or sports related activities throughout the week.
