By popular demand, Stanford Sports Medicine will be offering an advanced Sports Medicine Summer Camp this year for students with background in sports medicine. Come learn first hand from some of the best clinicians in the world. Students will learn the integration of cutting edge approaches to injury prevention, rehabilitation, and athletic performance. Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, see firsthand how advanced technologies positively impact injury recovery and training. Recommended for high school students interested in sports medicine or a career in athletic training. Students should have experience in a sports medicine program, have attended the basic camp, or have attended the 2015 camp. 3) Grinders Session 3 - Bolles San Jose Campus
Our "Grinders" program is ideal for beginners and intermediate players between the ages of 10 and 18. Practices will take place on the full 78 foot court. Players will be coached on the fundamentals of tennis in a fun, encouraging atmosphere. Players will develop athleticism through daily age-appropriate fitness activities, make friends and improve their game! Join us as we take to the seas on this thrilling pirate adventure with the Jersey Shore Pirates. Children will be dressed up as a crew of swashbuckling buccaneers, search for hidden treasure, and defend their ship against enemy pirates. Kids will be transported from PS 87 to Jersey Shore Pirates by private school bus, departing at 9 a.m., and returning to PS 87 via school bus by 5 p.m. *In case of inclement weather, we will take the children to Jenkinsons Aquarium in Point Pleasant, New Jersey for a private tour.

Friday, Jul 11-15, 9:00am -3:00pm (M-TH); 9:00am-12:00pm (F) Location: Fairfax High School Field House (Gym) Led by former Washington Wizards forward Awvee Storey and his experienced staff, the camp will feature professional instruction for boys and girls, with the instruction designed for the specific skill level of the participants. Coach Storey was a standout collegiate basketball player at Arizona State University, before continuing his playing career professionally in the NBA with the Wizards, New Jersey Nets, and Milwaukee Bucks. Storey also competed professionally internationally in New Zealand and the Philippines. The instruction will focus on the game?s fundamentals, while instilling the importance of commitment, teamwork, character, and sportsmanship helping each camper reach his/her full potential.
