OTL Scritp[ed] - Writers Workshop - San Diego Writers, Ink
OTL Script[ed] a six-week screenwriting workshop where youll get an introduction to the fundamental concepts of screenwriting: reading and analyzing professional screenplays; reading, analyzing, and critiquing your classmates work; and, most importantly, writing an original screenplay. You will outline, write, and revise a short script (6-12 pages) with the goal to be screen ready! Youll be writing and reading on your own outside of the weekly sessions, bringing your observations, ideas, and new work with you to the group. Animal Planet - Wills Point Calvary Baptist Church
Planet earth is an amazing place full of fascinating creatures! Students will explore the land, sky & ocean while creating art depicting some of their favorite creatures & landscapes. Dont be surprised when you see elephants, giraffes, horses & a Picasso inspired rooster appear during the week. Animals from all over the world will be drawn, painted & created from clay in this camp designed for animal lovers! Please bring to camp: Large shoe or boot box for fired clay pieces (write name on box), old shirt to wear during camp. Each day: Drink & snack to enjoy during 15 minute break About our Summer Camp! Campers will experience 3 hours of creative opportunities each day. They will learn & practice basic art skills such as drawing with pencil, markers, charcoal, oil & chalk pastels. Students will learn color mixing & painting with artist paintbrushes while using watercolors & acrylic paints. Every day, students will also get their hands into clay every day while they learn hand building techniques such as pinch, coil & slab. Singing for the Stage and Beyond - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This class is designed to introduce and strengthen the fundamentals of voice/singing for the adult voice. Students will learn proper breathing placement and projection techniques, as well as technical and interpretive principles. In addition, students will learn to select and prepare songs for their particular voices. Limited to ages 17 and older. INSTRUCTOR BIO: BEVERLEY BENDA, a professional singer by trade, is a classical soprano with The United States Army Band Pershings Own, and Programming NCO and Script Writer for their Public Affairs Office. She has performance and teaching degrees from James Madison University, Eastern Illinois University, and The Eastman School of Music, and has appeared in a variety of musical productions including Brigadoon, Carmen, Carousel, Oklahoma!, Kismet, The Pirates of Penzance, Dialogue of the Carmelites, My Fair Lady, The Music Man, Hollywood Pinafore, Its A Grand Night for Singing, and the first revival of Call Me Mister.
