Camp Chipinaw was founded in 1926, and it is located in the breathtaking Catskill Mountains. Although it was originally an all-boys camp, by 1938 a girl’s camp was added. Camp Chipinaw is one of the oldest camps in the U.S., serving children and teens ages 7 through 16. Youth Achievers Foundation Summer Day Camp - Florissant, MO
10 weeks (Jun 1st - Aug 7th) of traditional styled camp full day (8am-5pm) that has provided children with a safe and fun summer for over 50 years. Each camper has an opportunity to grow, discover, build confidence, and develop physically as well as socially. Daily activities are supervised by nurturing counselors and adult professionals who lead the campers through an activity filled day. Many members of our staff have grown up in the camp or Dance Plus and are thrilled to pass down the camp traditions by offering encouragement and motivation. The 7-13 year old children make friends, enjoy new experiences and become a part of our fun loving camp family. Instructor: Indy Science Fun Instructor -- Become a certified Junior Scientist as you sample a variety of cool experiments and activities in topics like Magnets, Electricity, Power, and Energy; Sound and Sight, Animals, and Space Frontiers! Confuse compass needles and test your skills in the Magnificent Magnetic Maze. Light up with delight as you make Squishy Circuits. Make music and all sorts of merry sounds while discovering how sound waves travel; use rainbow glasses to examine the color spectrum. Discover which animals jump the highest, run the fastest, and have other extreme superpowers - match up some of your skills to compare. This is the perfect introduction to chemical reactions for curious middle school students! Each day, students will learn about the chemical interactions of atoms and molecules using hands-on lab activities, group activities, and class discussions. All materials will be provided, but students should wear clothes that are appropriate for lab activities. Kristen Tordillos teaches biology, physical science, and honors biology at Seattle Prep. She enjoys trying to come up with new and creative ways to teach scientific concepts, and she looks forward to focusing on the excitement that comes with chemical reactions! 2063240400.0

Prerequisite: Hartley Level 2 or equivalent learn to sail class Lets go Sailing....Grab a partner or sail solo in this exciting class designed to get kids on the water as quickly as possible. This class is the perfect opportunity for students who know how to sail, who want to get out there, to simply go sailing. Students are introduced to more advanced sailing techniques, basic navigation and will work on improving their overall comfort with sailing around Stonington Harbor and Fishers Island Sound. Hartley 12s will be the primary boats for this class. Students may also be introduced to sailing 420s and Sonars as part of the class. 860-535-9362
