LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Aquatics Camp - PreK-4 - Avenues New York
Over the course of 4 days, the PreK-Grade students will learn essential swimming skills through fun and games. Combining a games-led approach with excellence in coaching and instruction, each student will learn the core aquatic skills needed to be a competent swimmer. In addition to working on the four competitive strokes, swimmers will learn numerous other skills, which will give them the ability to participate in a range of aquatic sports including synchronized swimming and water polo. Swimmers will also practice water rescue drills and discuss water safety. Requirements: Must be in the PreK – Grade group. Swimmers will be grouped by age and ability. Get a taste of summer at our Spring Break Camp! Our camp counselors are dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for children to interact, meet new friends and participate in exciting camp activities. Campers will spend their day at the park, playing dodgeball, creating art masterpieces and going down the waterslide at our pool. Join us for an exciting week of camp games, sports, swimming and more! Please bring a sack lunch, snacks, water, swim suit, towel and sunblock to camp daily. Come join the fun! Only need a day or two of camp? We take drop-ins! Drop-ins are dependent on space availability and are $45 per day. There are no sibling discounts for drop-ins. Please register for drop-in days through the Community Center office. Drop-ins for Before Care is $8 per day and After Care is $15 per day. We will take day hikes in the foothills, mountains and along Puget Sound Hiking camps are for youth ages 8 to 16. The difficulties of the hiking routes will be chosen depending on the ability of the campers. All climbing equipment is provided.
