LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Opti Race (Session 1 AM) - NESS
Prerequisite: Opti Green Fleet/instructor recommendation Students will work on more advanced boat handling techniques, including roll tacks and jibes, and will be introduced to more racing tactics, strategies and techniques. Sailors will learn what it takes to progress to the next level of Opti racing and will be expected to compete in local Opti regattas where Red, White and Blue fleets are formed by age. Having your own racing level Opti is an advantage at this stage and students are encouraged to bring their own boats. All students will be under the supervision of our race coach in class and at specific local regattas. Last summer we supported and coached our sailors in 7 local day-long Opti regattas and expect to support about the same number of events this year. Regatta fees are not included. 860-535-9362

Turkey TROT 2016 Presented by 4RKids Capital Campaign - Enid, OK
We are so proud to announce that 4RKids Capital Campaign will be hosting the Turkey Trot 5k & fun run on Thanksgiving Day! Route will be through Heritage Hills and Willow West. Start line will be at the corner of Willow and Heritage Trail. Packet Pick-up will be at Davinci's coffeehouse in Enid, OK. Registration opens October 1, 2016. Stay tuned for more info!

Since 1999, the Hamilton Area YMCA has provided recreational and social opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Through our SKOR program, participants build self-confidence and social skills, form lifelong friendships, and strive to achieve their highest potential. In addition to celebrating the achievements of our SKOR participants and sampling great food and cheer from local establishments, we will also recognize Gregg Gates as the Maurice T. Perilli Friend of SKOR. Tickets are $65.00 per person before September 21. Tickets are $75.00 per person after September 21. Shakespeare Summer Camp - Pensacola, FL
It's a mystery of Shakespearean proportions as this year’s campers create a whodunit from the ground up using Shakespearean characters, plots, intrigue, dialogue, and combat. Each camper will get to choose a Shakespearean character to play, agree on a Shakespearean murder victim, and help write and perform an original play using Shakespearean themes. Campers will learn about the plays, acting, and stage combat in this week-long experience that culminates in a live performance! SETSCO will provide everything except underwear, shoes, and lunch. Tuition is $235 until May 31 when it will increase to $250, so register early! Ages 9-17 Mon-Fri 9:00-4:30 June 13-17 $235

Youth Colorguard Camp - Salem, MO
Come join us for Youth Color Guard Camp in February! Grades 3-5. Register by January 15th to make sure you can recieve a t-shirt. We will practice Monday, February 8th and Tuesday, February 9th from 6pm until 7pm in the High School Band Room. Performance will be during the half time of the Varsity basketball game Thursday, February 11th. Contact Kelsey Schatz for any additional information!

Scratch Programming - Hopkins Campus
Scratch is dynamic and intuitive programming software that enables students to animate scenes, create interactive games and more. Students will learn and review basic programming principles and design creative animations and simple, fun games. They will explore how variables, lists and sensing blocks can create more complex, interactive programs. Blake Lower School engineering and program specialist Joe Druskin will be the Scratch instructor. 952-988-3463

Use STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) to explore the important and fun Simple Machines. Apply all 6 types of simple machines in experiments with ramps, catapults, pulleys, and contraptions.
