(T) 2016 Youth Leaders Summit (T) - Shepherdsville, KY
Tentatively scheduled for 29-31 January 2016, the Youth Leaders Summit, or YLS, is a consolidated Troop JLT that is conducted annually - the 2016 event will take place at Camp Crooked Creek. YLS should be attended by youth in the rank of 2nd Class or above and be newly elected leaders, or expected to become leaders within their troop. The training emphasizes YOUTH leadership of a troop, the Patrol Method, youth leadership positions and duties, basic problem solving and other principles of youth leading youth. Class size is limited to 30 Scouts, so be sure to register early!

This past year, social media has been flooded with violent images of the over policing of marginalized communities. We have felt the detrimental impact of state sanctioned violence, which has led to too many of our children, parents, friends, family and community members behind bars. CJNY member organizations continue to do the critical organizing and advocacy work to resist the structural racism within our justice and education systems. SummerART Camp Full Day Pottery Program 9:30am to 5pm Pottery Camp with Fashion Illustration Session III: July 25 to August 5 Pottery Camp This camp is for children who are interested specifically in working with clay to create pottery, sculpture, and more. Campers are grouped in age-specific classes (6 to 8, and 9 to 12). Campers will have the opportunity to use the Museums diverse collection of Native American pottery as inspiration. Much of the work created in Pottery Camp will be kiln fired, some will be functional, some will be decorative, and all of it will be treasured for years to come.
