YOUTH SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM WASHINGTON COUNTY RECREATION DEPARTMENT (Registration opens April 1, 2016) June 20-August 5, 2016. Participate in just one week or all seven. You choose, and only pay for what you register for! 7 Convenient Locations: : Boonsboro, Hancock, Marty Snook Park-Hagerstown, Maugansville, and Williamsport Our day camps are an exciting, safe, and affordable option for summer fun. Our Summer Camps are a place for young people to get outside, get unplugged, and back to the best things in life—friendships, fresh air, discovery, accomplishments, and self-confidence. Washington County Recreation Department Summer Youth Day Camp Program emphasizes respect for others, fun, safety, responsibility, interaction and participation. Our summer campers make friends and feel good knowing they can just be themselves! At our camps, your child is sure to be entertained with planned daily and weekly activities, such as athletics, games, crafts, and team building projects. Occasionally campers may have the opportunity to swim, skate, visit other campsites, trek to the local libraries and creameries, and be visited by special guests. Kid's Music Camp: Oh, Jonah! - Hampton, VA
Oh Jonah!: Music Camp 2016 Monday – Friday, August 8-14, 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Oh, Jonah Practice & Activities 12 – 12:30 p.m. Lunch Bunch 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. Field Trip Camp Cost: $20 (includes CD, t-shirt, snacks). Rachel will direct the music and Betty (Elizabeth) will direct the enrichment activities. We have need of a snack coordinator and set designer in addition to youth counselors. This year, we would like to extend our day to 3:00 p.m. to include afternoon activities such as service, swimming, bowling, skating, etc. In order to add the component, we need willing adults to chaperone the afternoon outings. Week 9 AM - Body Balance & Mind - NESS
Be introduced to two incredible sports that will keep you fit, focused and balanced! Give your body the boost of energy it needs by refreshing your senses and having fun on the ocean. Explore Stonington Harbor on stand up paddle boards, while stretching, relaxing and testing your core balance. Ride the crystal clear waves of Rhode Island during surf class. Songwriting Workshop - Penncrest High School
This workshop would be for all 6th-12th graders interested in learning more about songwriting. No previous musical experience is required. Students would write their own original music, and gain skills on the keyboard that allow them to become better musicians and even self-accompany! This workshop is perfect for poets who wish they knew more about how to put their words to music, or experienced musicians who are stuck when it comes to writing lyrics. Eagles Basketball Camp - St. Thomas High School
Come join head coach John Kwok and the St. Thomas basketball staff for an intensive 4-day camp to better maximize your summer basketball season. Current and former STH basketball players will complete the staff promoting individual development through a variety of skill instruction sessions and competitive daily scrimmages with an emphasis on offensive / defensive team concepts.
