Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities enjoy summer camps as well as anyone else does. My 10 year old son is intellectually delayed. He looks forward to this camp every summer. In fact, he keeps asking us how many days until camp? He likes to swim, make crafts, sing and learn new skills at summer camp. We are pleased to have a safe place where he can go and we don't have to worry about him. The camp counselors are great at what they do.... Read More...

Boy Scouts Troop 114 is raising funds for Summer Camp! Please stop by and grab a delicious dinner anytime between 5-8pm on Thursday, April 7th. You can come in and visit with the troop while you eat OR you can participate via the drive-thru! Just tell them you're with the fundraiser when you order, they'll put a copy of your receipt in a basket and a portion of your meal cost will be donated to our troop! That's it, SO easy! Please share this event out with everyone you know who lives in the area; everyone is welcome and invited to join! Thank you all for supporting our boys. It takes a lot to get these kids to Colorado and we truly could not do this without your help!!!

Create comic book characters, stories and drama as you make your very own comic book. Use a variety of media in developing splash pages, story lines and more. Create the setting and plot and use your drawings skills to make your story come alive. 302 239-2434 x120
Musical Production: The Lion King - The Evergreen School
Two shows on Friday July 29th at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in The Evergreen Theater. Calling actors, singers, and dancers! The Evergreen School Summer Performing Arts Program is putting on a big show and we need your talent! In this two week production, students become members of a small cast, and each day is filled with fun activities that build skills for musical theater. This years show is The Lion King. Every student enrolled receives a copy of the music and the script in advance of rehearsals. Auditions take place on the first day of class. In this production, everyone will be strongly featured with solos for all. On the last day, July 29, in partnership with our Backstage Crew and Costume Crew classes, actors will present two big performances (3:00 pm and 7:00 pm) complete with sets, costumes and lights. Attendance is required for all days of these two weeks and at both shows. This successful summer program has a team of five experienced teaching artists all lead by Evergreens Vanessa Miller. Students seeking a three week Lion King experience, he/she may add on the week of July 11–15, and enroll in either the Introduction to The Lion... 206-957-1533

The children will be introduced to the basic elements of music through singing and movement in a fun and creative way. The class activities will include singing, listening, coloring to music, movement, fun musical games and improvisation, and exploring Orff instruments and learning about rhythm, tempo, measure and notes. Ich bin Lana, die klangvolle Glockenfee aus Wien und wohne heute auf der Klang Insel wo ich alle Kinder von 3-5 sehr gerne empfange, um ihnen meine magische und vibrationsreiche Welt zu zeigen. Hier auf der Insel wohnen alle Weltberühmte Komponisten die uns durch Notenpfeile ihren Musik singen und spielen lassen. A number of our projects this week will be inspired by the natural world that surrounds us in Connecticut, the Nutmeg State. The seashore, woods and fields of our state lend themselves to three-dimensional and decorative applications. Some of the things I have planned are bird feeders, bug mugs and fancy fish sculptures. Flowers, leaves and animals can adorn our wheel thrown pots. You will have some time to work on your own ideas. There will be outdoor sketching, glazing and painting.
