Volleyball: Lower School Team Skills - Main Campus
The Harding Team Skills Volleyball Camp for 3rd to 5th graders builds on the skills acquired during the June Individual Skills Camp (serving, passing, setting, attacking). Fast-paced team drills and games focused on enhancing court awareness, better understanding of game flow, anticipation, readiness, transitioning between offense and defense. Lower school girls continue developing ball control and playing the game correctly (three touches "pass-set-hit" vs. volleyball "tennis"). Daily team recognition. Camp ends with a tournament, which is always a blast. Join us for a fun week with friends, classmates and teammates, playing the game we love. High Desert Museum - High Desert Museum
Our popular day camps return with exciting experiential themes. Campers can learn firsthand what its like to be an animal keeper and care for our rescued wild animals, discover frontier life skills, experiment with earth science and create art and photography inspired by High Desert nature and culture. Our childhood education experts have designed these week-long day camps to inspire ages 5 through 10 with unique, enriching hands-on experiences. Our campers have so much fun, they dont realize how much they are learning! Parents rave about the quality and value of our camps. Every day, children in each camp meet the Museums live animals, such as owls, porcupines and reptiles, and learn about them from our biologists and educational staff. Musical Improv - Pop Songs Level 1 - Eric Schackne - iO West
Musical improv may seem daunting. Well, imagine your very first few rounds of Hot Spot or Freeze Tag. Did you not die and it got easier? You eventually discover the timing and structure of new forms, which allows you to be more present, creative, and/or funny on stage. Once you learn the simplicity behind improvising a catchy pop song, you may even start to embrace that one team member who loves to break into song at some point every single show. This song workshop will bring you through main aspects of pop sensibility (Memorable Choruses, Supportive Verses, Bridges & Structure). Three weeks culminate in an improvised musical experience that has never been done before and will never be done again - save for your audience members humming your tunes on the way out of the theatre Sessions are led by Eric Schackne, iOwests Music Director and house accompanist. Eric has a breadth of experience spanning teaching/performing/studying improv comedy and songwriting/composing/producing, which provides him a progressive approach to the musical improv niche. Frontiersman Camp Session 1 - Two Weeks - New England Frontier Camp
The Frontiersmen program is the first step in Christian Servant Leadership at NEFC. Young men will spend time each day in behind-the -scenes camp service and begin training for Christian Leadership, then enjoy exciting activities like airsoft, riflery, wakeboarding, team building, and much more! Campers can choose one session for two consecutive weeks or multiple sessions for more than two weeks of great Camp fun!
