2017 LSBT Youth Camp - Larkspur, CO
LSBT Youth Camp 2017 invites all 6th-12th graders a chance to get away from everything and focus on their relationship with God! Every day they will be served 3 Awesome meals and just as many Spiritual meals!! Every afternoon will be filled with activities, such as, low and high obstacle courses, kick ball, volleyball, horseshoes, inflatable jousting matches, and glow in the dark dodgeball!! ALL of this in a peaceful camp setting with Spectacular views of Pikes Peak! Cost is $425 includes lodging for 6 nights, 20 meals, camp t-shirt, and all activities!!! While some of these programs do provide valuable advice, most of them are filled with poor choices that, if followed, will get you injured or killed in a real emergency. Without proper training, separating the fact from fiction can be a difficult task. Our primary focus this week is to teach participants the practical skills that will save them in a true emergency. While a number of Traditional Skills will be introduced, our goal this week is to provide participants with a pragmatic skill set. For instance, spending five hours building a lean-to when it gets dark in 20 minutes is not a practical choice. Trying to build a bow-drill fire kit from scratch without a knife and without properly seasoned wood in the damp environment of the Pacific Northwest is rarely practical. Although those types of skills will be demonstrated, we will challenge you to perfect the basics first – like carrying a small fire steel and a couple of cotton balls...

Camp Jam Summer Camp - Atlanta, GA
Jammin Kids Inc. presents "Camp Jam," an all encompassing camp that gives your child hands on experience in many genres such as acting, dance, science, fitness, career exploration entrepreneurship, and more. Camp Jam is open to all children ages 5-13 (4 year olds are welcome if potty trained or turning 5 during the summer). Tuition is $70 per week (includes snacks). Parents, looking for a place to send the older kids? Camp Jam is extending an awesome invitation for volunteers ages 14-18 to help out with daily rountines for the younger campers. Volunteers also gain experience teaching classes and building life long confidence and leadership skills. Volunteers receive free weekly tuition but must make a commitment to attend camp daily. Camp will take place from 9am-4pm with early drop off and late pickup at an additional $5 per day Camp Jam hosts daily drop-ins for $25 per day and half days for $15 per day. Throughout the week, we will learn about the history of belly dance, do exercises to inspire creativity and self-expression, and of course...dance! Different styles of belly dance will be introduced through hours of drills and practice, forming into a choreography that participants will have the opportunity to perform at the end of the week in a safe and supportive environment (performance optional). Learn the basics of skateboarding from the experts at Ambush Board Co. Be introduced to skateboarding with others of similar skills, age, and experience level - from getting started, safety, and park etiquette to ollies, flip-tricks, and grinds. Discover skateboarding culture, learn new tricks, and become part of the skateboard community. Supplies: Campers should bring plenty of water and a snack each day. Campers should bring their skateboard, helmet, knee and elbow pads if they have them. Equipment will be available for those who need to borrow it. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
