SHW - SENIOR HIGH WORKSHOPS - Washington College
The Senior High Workshop (SHW) provides a fun, challenging, inspiring, and fulfilling week-long experience for teens while helping them to develop leadership skills needed to succeed in diverse environments. Through innovative leadership activities and engaging group challenges, students interact with both peers and staff to develop a unique leadership style to apply to their lives at home. Throughout the week, teens are encouraged to set goals and are given the tools to achieve them. Additionally, the students meet other teens from around the state and have the opportunity to form life-long friendships with each other. Jr. High 1 is still a combined camp. Registration of male and female campers is separate for processing purposes. We offer two Jr. High camps. Both of these weeks are filled with new activities as well as other favorites, including White War, horseback riding (hour and a half trail ride), basketball and sand volleyball. Allow the Lord to challenge you in your relationship with Him as you study the Bible with your counselor and camp speaker. Please note that paintball is not offered for this age group. 801-546-6672

Develop and use STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills to solve problems and create new inventions. This hands-on camp will provide children with great opportunities think outside the box, build, create and invent solutions to problems uncovered through reading trickster tales from around the world as well as other picture books about engineering. Each child will have a journal to work in so that they are able to reflect on their learning. Research has shown that children who participate in Drama/Acting activities improve their ability to react and respond to imaginary situations and feelings and eventually generalize these skills into their daily living.
