Lego® StoryStarter II 2:30 - Mt. Bethel Elementary
Story telling was never this much fun! Utilizing the LEGO® StoryStarter set we will introduce students to the basic structures of a well-composed story (making this class a great language arts tool). At the same time we will also introduce them to the world of technology as we show them how to animate their stories in their very own graphic storybook. They will build their LEGO® story scenes and (using photo capture and editing tools) bring the story to life in print. We will create multiple storybooks in this class and each student will receive a DVD containing printable versions of all their creations to take home. In StoryStarter II we will have the same great fun but with all new story types and plots! We will delve further in the story telling process by emphasizing character development and 5 step story telling. You do NOT have to take the first class in order to take II. 770-826-0449

Game Making- Middle School - Eureka Workshop
There are so many games to play! Some involve stories while others numbers or letters, but all present a challenge. On screen and off campers will analyze what makes a good game, explore all the moving parts, and create their own game. This camp takes information and logic from traditional games and applies it to the digital world. (804) 727-9817

Mixed Metaphor (Elementary School) - School of Visual Concepts
In this mixed-genre class, students have the chance to combine poetry, fiction and comics to tell epic stories about themselves and their world. They will explore new literary techniques and poetic forms while developing skills in written, oral, and visual storytelling. Students will experience all stages of the writing process—writing, revising, and sharing—ending with a celebration for family and friends. Painting Fantasy Plants & Animals - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
Crystal mushrooms, poisonous plants with eyes and a tiger snake. These are a just a few themes that students will explore in this fantasy filled camp. Use your imagination to create plants and animals that are out of this world. 302 239-2434 x120
