The 9th annual preacher and men's training classes will be held at the Little Egypt Youth Camp near Dahlgren, Illinois June 20-24, 2016. (For more information, visit . All students must register. You may do so at http://preachertrainingclasses.com/contact-2/. Please register early to secure a spot. Feel free to invite other men, but make sure they register individually. Due to the generous donations of several individuals, there will be no fees this year. Meals and lodging will be provided beginning Sunday evening through Friday at noon. CAMP DETAILS Star Wars Camp Go far, far away in this camp, as the Jedi and the Sith explore epic encounters in the universe. Campers will use their lightsabers and the force on their adventures as they travel and fight their way through the galaxy. We will use themes from the stories and adapt them to create our own galaxy and experiences as an ensemble. 773-944-9146

Create both sculptures and functional pieces out of clay, using a variety of techniques and exploring texture and form. The older group will include instruction on the potters wheel. $30 materials fee is due to instructor at first class. Campers will perform experiments to demonstrate weightlessness in space. They will explore variations between gravity on earth and gravity in space, examine the impacts of weightlessness on the human body, and investigate weather patterns on the moon. They will learn how astronauts prepare for the extreme temperatures in space.Campers will perform experiments to illustrate the blackhole, make a "ghost" appear in a bottle as part of a meteorology activity, explore what happens when air masses collide, and build and use several weather instruments. Week 1 Field Trip: Friday, July 1. The Da Vinci Center, PA Week 2 Field Trip: Friday, July 8. Students will work with clay and learn basic sculptural techniques, including modeling, adding and taking away material. Students will work from objects as models or from their imagination, creating both abstract and figurative sculptures. Learn how to construct light armature as well as techniques for constructing hollow cylinders and spheres and cuboids as the base of their forms. Students will also have the opportunity to sculpt a human head from a model! For this we would work with each other as models! Both new and experienced artists are welcome. 2035624927 x14
