Disc golf, also known as Folf, is a flying disc game, as well as a precision and accuracy sport, in which individual players throw a flying disc at a target, The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc.The game is played in about 40 countries around the world. Come learn the basic rules of disc golf such as: Teeing off Establishing position Marking the lie Throwing from a stance Holing out Out of bounds Discs used in play Order of play Courtesy The week will end with a trip to the disc course in Hudson. Chicago White Sox Camp Ages 5-6 - Community Park
For over 20 years, the Chicago White Sox have brought quality baseball instruction to children throughout Chicagoland! If you want to be the best, youve got to train with the best! The Little Sluggers (Ages 5-6) is designed to introduce your child to the game of baseball. Our intermediate camp (Ages 7-8) includes fundamental skill-building activities, like throwing, hitting, bunting, fielding, pitching and base running. The Advanced camp (Ages 9-11) builds upon the basics and incorporates team play, advanced base running and other techniques that could be used on the field. On the final day, all players will get the opportunity to judge their improvement by playing a game. Each participant will receive an EXCLUSIVE U.S. CELLULAR FIELD EXPERIENCE, plus six White Sox ticket vouchers, academy hat, t-shirt, evaluation report and graduation certificate. TT Nurture In Nature Youth Camp - Tuolumne Trails
Nurture In Nature is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization whos mission is to enrich and empower the lives of children and adults with disabilities by connecting them to nature. We are excited to partner with Camp Tuolumne Trails this summer and offer sponsorship for 20-30 children between the ages of 5-13 years to attend camp. We believe in creating an environment conducive for healthy, natural exploration of the outdoors, therefore we sponsor a support person to attend camp with our campers. Support personnel can be a parent, caretaker, or sibling familiar to the camper to help ease the transition to the outdoors. Our services focus on children residing in Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Mariposa and San Joaquin counties. If you are interested in having your child participate in our program please contact Jeanah Nomelli at 209-606-9712 or to further discuss your childs needs to ensure eligibility for the upcoming free of cost 2016 summer program , set for July 10-13. We will fill spots on a first come first serve basis for 30 campers. 2016 Richmond Mountain Bike Camp - St. Catherines School
Richmond has some of the best urban mountain biking trails around! Join the staff of Virginia Outside for daily instruction, trail rides and lots of fun. Campers will develop beginner and intermediate mountain biking skills including: steering, shifting, hill climbing and descending, log hopping, dodging obstacles, etiquette, maintenance, safety and more. Campers will ride in the morning, have an activity such as tubing or snorkeling on the James River, then get back on the bikes in the afternoon. Virginia Outside provides mountain bikes and helmets, but campers are welcome to bring their own. 804-272-6362
